MANILA, Philippines - Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista has approved an ordinance that will impose an additional P1 in admission fees on all cinemas in the city this month to be donated to the city’s chapter of the Philippine Red Cross.
Introduced by Councilors Godofredo Liban, Jesus Manuel Suntay and Eufemio Lagumbay, the ordinance said the city government intends to show its support to the Quezon City Red Cross (QCRC) in time for its 65th anniversary this year.
The ordinance directed the city treasurer to submit a report of the sum collected from cinemas before releasing this to the QCRC.
