MANILA, Philippines - The most wanted fugitive in the Caloocan-Malabon-Navotas-Valenzuela (Camanava) area was arrested in Davao City Monday night.

Pascual Bernardo, 65, of Bignay, Valenzuela City was arrested at the Davao City airport shortly before 7 p.m., Valenzuela police chief Senior Superintendent Rhoderick Armamento said.

Bernardo is the subject of an arrest warrant issued by Valenzuela Regional Trial Court Branch 269 Judge Emma Matamu for the killing of Ernesto Lunara, 65, and his 35-year-old son, Edgardo, in 2010.

Armamento said the Valenzuela police officers went to the airport receiving information that Bernardo had been spotted there.

Bernardo was presented to Valenzuela Mayor Rex Gatchalian, who commended the arresting officers.
