QC cop charged for threatening debtor
MANILA, Philippines - A Quezon City policeman who has a lending business was charged yesterday after he reportedly threatened one of his clients for skipping on her debt payments.
Police Officer 2 Anthony Teczon was charged with grave threats and violation of domicile after he visited Visitacion Herrera’s house in Valenzuela City and started cursing at her for not paying her debts.
Herrera told police she tried to explain her predicament, but Teczon reportedly drew his service firearm and threatened to shoot her unless she paid up.
The timely arrival of Herrera’s father-in-law, a former photojournalist, pacified Teczon, police said.
