MANILA, Philippines - A 39-year-old man killed himself seconds after strangling his seven-year-old daughter, reported to be a special child, in Punta, Sta. Ana, Manila Monday.
The bodies of Nestor Dipasupil and his daughter, Kimi, were found in their room by an in-law at around 9 p.m. on Sept. 30, Senior Police Officer 1 Jonathan Moreno said.
Kimi was found with ligature marks on her neck. She was lying on a chair. Her father’s body was found two meters away from her.
Investigators found a nylon cord, believed to have been used to strangle her, a bottle of drain cleaner and a roll of masking tape in the room. Dipasupil may have drunk the drain cleaner to end his life, Moreno said.
