MANILA, Philippines - Burglars stole a coin bank that contained P90,000 from a store in Barangay Pinagkaisahan, Quezon City over the weekend.
Nelia Cammayo, 61, and her husband discovered the theft when they opened their store at around 4 a.m. Sunday.
According to a report from the Quezon City Police District Station 10, among the items Cammayo listed as stolen are 24 bottles of brandy worth P3,900; P20,000 worth of cigarettes; and cards for cellular phone load credits worth a total of P8,500.
Investigators said the burglars created a small opening between the store’s grills to break into the store while Cammayo and her husband were asleep.
