Janvic Mateo - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A “kwek-kwek” vendor was killed while three others were injured in a shooting in Barangay Matandang Balara, Quezon City yesterday morning.

Ramil Atibagos, 34, was selling kwek-kwek or duck eggs underneath a footbridge at the corner of Commonwealth and Luzon Avenues when two unidentified men arrived on a motorcycle just before 11 a.m., said Police Officer 1 Julius Raz.

The investigator said one of the men shot at Atibagos, who started to run away from them. The attacker chased Atibagos and repeatedly shot him fleeing the area. Raz said they have yet to determine the motive for the killing.

Meanwhile, Renante Armada, 27; and Domer Allowisan, 32, were brought to the East Avenue Medical Center after being hit by stray bullets.

Raz said a third victim, identified only as Michelle, was also hit. Police officers have yet to find out where she was brought for treatment, he said.
