MANILA, Philippines - At least 32 people were injured in two bus accidents in the cities of Makati and Muntinlupa yesterday morning.

Twenty-one passengers were hurt when a Cubao-bound Green Star Liner bus from Laguna hit the toll plaza in Alabang, Muntinlupa along Skyway’s northbound lane at around 8 a.m.

The injured passengers were brought to the Ospital ng Muntinlupa.

Bus driver Rommel Reyes told police he was speeding when the bus hit the toll plaza.

In Makati, 11 passengers were injured when a southbound Roval Transport bus rear-ended a Golden Bee bus on EDSA near its intersection with Estrella street at around 7 a.m.

The collision caused a traffic jam that reached all the way to Cubao, police said.

Roval bus driver Paolo Eduardo Sitchon said he hit the Golden Bee bus because it suddenly stopped, ABS-CBN reported. Golden Bee bus driver Sonny Borja said he was dropping off passengers when the Roval bus hit his vehicle.
