Evelyn Macairan - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Bureau of Customs (BOC) confiscated three shipping containers filled with P500 million worth of various goods that reportedly came from China, an official said yesterday.

BOC Commissioner Rufino Biazon said in a statement that the containers held imitation designer bags, fake branded clothes, cell phone accessories and health products that did not have clearance from the Food and Drug Administration.

The BOC statement said the goods consigned to Tumbler Enterprises arrived at the Manila International Container Port but did not specify the date.
