Teen maid raped, killed

MANILA, Philippines - The body of an 18-year-old household helper, believed to have been raped and killed, was found in Quezon City at past midnight yesterday.

Vicky Ramos was found beside a parked jeepney along Payatas Road in Barangay Payatas B, a kitchen knife next to her, according to Senior Police Officer 1 Jaime Jimena.

Ramos, who had been repeatedly stabbed, was found clad only in her shirt. Jimena said they are still awaiting the results of the autopsy on the victim’s body.

A resident told police he was with his friends when he saw Ramos being dragged by an unidentified middle-aged man along the street during a downpour.

He said he thought it was a lovers’ quarrel until they heard shouts for help. When they checked, they found the victim’s body, he said.
