MANILA, Philippines -Two men were arrested for stealing a call center agent’s iPod and two cell phones while they were in a packed bus in Quezon City Friday night.

Brothers Ronald Sazon Damez, 38, and Jeffrey Sazon Burbon, 24, were apprehended when they got off the Fairview-bound bus at the corner of Commonwealth and Luzon Avenues, according to Quezon City Police Distirct director Chief Superintendent Richard Albano.

Florito Daquioag said he was on his way home from work when he noticed the two suspects board the bus at the Philippine Heart Center. Jeffrey stood next to the complainant and kept pushing him while Ronald was behind.

Daquioag, who was listening to his iPod, was shocked when it turned silent. He then realized the two men standing next to him in the packed bus had taken from his backpack his music player and his two mobile phones.

He refrained from reacting out of fear. When the two men got off the bus, Daquioag followed them and alerted three police officers stationed in the area.

The police officers recovered Daquioag’s gadgets and confiscated a fan knife from one of the suspects.
