MANILA, Philippines - A 70-year-old retired government worker from Tondo, Manila has claimed the P48.8-million jackpot of the 6/49 Super Lotto’s Aug. 11 draw, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said yesterday.

The winner picked the winning combination, 21-01-18-23-05-25, from the birthdates of his loved ones, PCSO general manager Ferdinand Rojas II said.

The retiree, who has been placing bets since 1995, plans to renovate his house and share his winnings with his children and grandchildren, Rojas said.

“He will also send his younger son to law school and invest in a family business,” Rojas added.
