Rudy Santos - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - An airport worker’s hand was badly injured yesterday after it was caught in a baggage carousel at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 4.

Alderon Manalasal, 23, a Zest Air employee, was unloading the luggage of arriving passengers of Flight Z2-391 when his right hand was stuck in the conveyor belt.

It took at least 15 minutes before technicians and emergency personnel freed Manalasal’s hand from the conveyor belt.

The worker was rushed to the terminal’s clinic for examination and was later brought to a nearby hospital to determine the extent of damage to his hand.
