San Juan’s new top cop told: Solve 3 major crimes
MANILA, Philippines - Eastern Police District director Chief Superintendent Miguel Laurel ordered newly installed San Juan police chief Senior Superintendent Joselito Daniel to solve three major crimes that recently occurred in the city.
Laurel also told Daniel, who assumed command of San Juan’s police force, to “improve the city’s patrol system so criminal syndicates would think twice before striking.â€
Daniel, a member of the Philippine Military Academy Class ‘88, replaced Senior Superintendent Bernard Tambaoan, who was appointed as the new chief of the Caloocan City police.
Daniel would take over the job of solving the ambush of Letran Knights point guard Franz Dysam; the failed P2 million robbery on cockpit financier Rebecca Almazan; and the attack on television host Willie Revillame’s personal assistant, Jose Luis Martinez.
Laurel pointed out that Tambaoan was not demoted but that the cases happened while Camp Crame was deliberating his transfer to Caloocan City.
Prior to his new assignment, Daniel was assigned at the Headquarter’s Support Service in Camp Crame, the same office of the suspect in Dysam’s ambush, Police Officer 2 Roland de Guzman.
