Man takes infant daughter hostage

MANILA, Philippines - A man took his 10-month-old daughter hostage in Malabon City yesterday morning following an argument between him and his partner.

Ramil Tindero and Jingle Santos were quarreling over his reported addiction to illegal drugs and his unwillingness to provide for his family when he suddenly picked up their daughter and threatened to hurt her, police said.

Tindero later surrendered to police officers who surrounded his house in Barangay Maysilo.
