Reinir Padua - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A 64-year-old grade school teacher was killed during what is believed to be a robbery in his own house in Quezon City on Sunday night.

Daniel Pagatpatan, who taught at the San Agustin Elementary School, was found by his son, Nick, at past 6 p.m. Sunday in his house in Barangay San Agustin, Novaliches.

Pagatpatan died of stab wounds in the neck, Senior Police Officer 1 Joselito Gagaza said.

Nick reported that two laptops, three high-end cell phones, jewelry, and a wallet containing an undetermined amount of money and identification cards were among the items missing from the house.

Nick said his father had been alone in the house since Friday night, as he, his sister and their mother went to Tagaytay to attend a relative’s death anniversary.
