Perseus Echeminada - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Makati City police officers are tracking down six men who barged into a Filipino-Chinese businesswoman’s home Tuesday morning and stole at least P10 million in cash and jewelry as well as two luxury cars and 13 firearms, an official said yesterday.

City police chief Senior Superintendent Manuel Lukban said they are closing in on the robbers, but refused to give further details.

The robbers hogtied Lourdes Chua and five of her stay-in employees after disarming the security guard at her home in Barangay Kasilawan. They took two of the employees and the guard as they drove off with Chua’s Mazda Friendee (RCV-125) and Ford Expedition (POQ-740).

Police said the robbers left the two employees in Chua’s Mazda, which they abandoned in Baras, Rizal.
