Ramil Bajo, Rey Galupo - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A Korean tourist died at a hospital in Quezon City yesterday from gunshot wounds he suffered when he was robbed in Ermita Sunday.

Joong Chul An, 39, a tourist billeted at the Malate Bayview Tower, succumbed to gunshot wounds at around 9 a.m. at the St. Luke’s Medical Center.

Joong was walking along Adriatico street at around 3 a.m. Sunday when a group of teenagers robbed him. When he tried to fend them off, three adults came to their rescue and shot him, police investigators said.

Police officers said they are looking for Henry Patrimonio, Michael Velarde and Romalyn Fernandez, who were identified by witnesses as responsible for Joong’s death.
