Toddler’s body fished from Pasig River

MANILA, Philippines - The body of an unidentified girl was fished out of the Pasig River in Mandaluyong City Wednesday.

The girl – estimated to be between one and three years old – was clad in a red and white blouse and naked from the waist down, according to city police chief Senior Superintendent Florendo Quibuyen. She bore a wound on her right eyelid, he added.

Quibuyen said teenagers reported to local officials that they found the body floating in the river. The body was recovered at around 4 p.m. Wednesday.
