MANILA, Philippines - A former military colonel was killed in his printing shop in Quezon City on Wednesday night.

Alfredo Ripoll, 73, was attacked in his shop along Aurora Boulevard at past 6 p.m., said Inspector Elmer Monsalve, head of the Quezon City Police District’s homicide investigation section.

Ripoll was with his employees in the printing shop when two men opened the door and posed as customers.

A third man, armed with a handgun, suddenly entered the shop and shot the victim in the face, killing him on the spot. All three suspects fled toward Aurora Boulevard.

Monsalve said they are still trying to determine the motive behind the killing.
