MANILA, Philippines - The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Tuesday night proclaimed re-electionist Marikina City Mayor Del de Guzman and three others as winners in Monday’s elections.
Proclaimed along with De Guzman were re-electionists Representatives Marcelino Teodoro of district one, and Romero Federico Quimbo of district two, both of the Liberal Party, and re-electionist Vice Mayor Dr. Jose Fabian Cadiz.
De Guzman won over Felipe Evangelista and Rizal Tenorio while Cadiz defeated former vice mayor Marion Andres.
Teodoro ran unopposed while Quimbo won over Albert Bocobo.
The proclamation of De Guzman completed the list of winning mayors in the four cities in the eastern Metro Manila.
Earlier, the Comelec proclaimed Mandaluyong City Mayor Benjamin “Benhur†Abalos Jr., San Juan City Mayor Guia Gomez, and newly-elected Pasig City Mayor Maria Belen Eusebio.
