Japanese loses valuables to ‘talent manager’

Reinir Padua - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A Japanese woman told the Quezon City Police District Sunday that a man who identified himself as a talent manager and convinced her to try modeling stole her belongings.

Shum Honda, 21, said Danny Francisco approached her as she was walking in Mandaluyong City and told her she could be a model.

Honda said she agreed to go to a television network’s office in Quezon City. She said Francisco told her to change her clothes while they were at a restaurant along Timog Avenue. When she went out, she said Francisco had taken her bag, which contained a computer tablet, a cell phone and P7,000.
