NBI joins probe on Herra slay
MANILA, Philippines - The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has joined the investigation on the killing of its former agent John Herra.
NBI Director Nonnatus Rojas said the Reaction, Arrest and Interdiction Division (RAID) headed by Ross Johnathan Galicia is investigating the case after the family of Herra requested for a parallel probe.
Rojas said the witness declined to go to the Crime Laboratory at Camp Crame on Tuesday and instead went to the NBI.
The NBI said they have seen the footage from the closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera installed in an establishment near the gym where Herra was shot dead, but it could not provide enough details to identify the gunman and his accomplice who drove the get-away motorcycle.
