Call center agent robbed

MANILA, Philippines - A call center agent lost her cash and valuables to two robbers on a motorcycle as she was waiting for a ride home in Makati City before dawn yesterday.

Maria Shiena Gerodias, 28, was standing at the corner of Dian street and Gil Puyat Avenue at past 3 a.m. when the two men stopped in front of her and grabbed her bag, which contained P800, a Nextbook tablet, a Samsung mobile phone and her ATM card, police said.

Gerodias told police she tried to fight off the robbers, who were wearing full-face helmets, but they shoved her and sped off toward Taft Avenue.
