MANILA, Philippines - A woman was robbed by a taxi driver and his two accomplices of more than P20,000 in cash and valuables in Quezon City Monday night.

Karen Rose Robles, 20, said that at past 6 p.m., she flagged down a taxi with license plate FWW-988 at the corner of EDSA and North Avenue and asked the driver to take her to West Avenue, according to Police Officer 3 Wilnor Agudo.

When they reached a gas station along EDSA near GMA-7, the driver allowed two other men to board the taxi, she said. The driver cruised around Makati and Manila until one of the men took her ATM card and withdrew P20,000, Robles said.

The woman said they took the money in her wallet, an iPod Nano and a USB flash drive before they left her along Congressional Avenue.
