Man caught stealing neighbor’s gamecock

MANILA, Philippines - A man was arrested for allegedly stealing his neighbor’s gamecock in a Caloocan City slum on Saturday.

Sonny Roga broke into Christopher Manalo’s backyard at around 5 a.m. and took the gamecock, investigators said. He tried to leave unnoticed by climbing onto a table beside Manalo’s fence. However, he dislodged the metal pots on the fence posts, rousing Manalo from sleep.

Manalo asked help from barangay officials, who scoured the nearby areas and saw Roga walking while petting the rooster. When Roga saw the officials, he tried to run. The officials caught him and brought him to the Caloocan police station.
