MANILA, Philippines - A pillbox was hurled at a police community precinct in Sta. Ana, Manila before dawn yesterday.
Superintendent Remigio Sidanto of the Manila Police District Station 6, which has jurisdiction over the precinct, said an unidentified man passed in front of the precinct at around 3 a.m. and threw the pillbox. The explosion damaged the precinct’s door and roof. No one was reported hurt.
He said it is possible that the people behind the attack were members of a drug and robbery gang allegedly led by Arnold Caranto.
