MANILA, Philippines - A Quezon City policeman was shot dead by two unidentified motorcycle-riding men shortly after he arrived at his house in Barangay Central Bicutan, Taguig City Tuesday night.
Senior Police Officer 1 Mohammad Sugod, 45, died on the spot from multiple gunshot wounds, according to city police chief Senior Superintendent Arthur Asis.
Witnesses failed to jot down the motorcycle’s license plate, Asis said.
Reports said that Sugod had just arrived at his house on Pisado street, Purok 3, in Central Bicutan at 7:25 p.m. on his motorcycle when the suspects arrived.
Police said the suspects even started a conversation with the victim before he was gunned down.
Investigators recovered from the crime scene six spent shells for caliber 9mm pistol.
Sugod’s body was immediately buried in keeping with the Muslim tradition.
Police said they have yet to establish the suspects’ motive for the killing.
