2 bodies found stuffed in sacks
MANILA, Philippines - Two bodies stuffed in separate sacks were found in a canal in Malabon City yesterday morning.
The decomposing bodies of Reynaldo Castro, 21, and his cousin Arnel Castro, 18, both of Navotas City, were discovered at 7 a.m. by three street sweepers along Barangay Tonsuya.
Imelda Cruz, Conchita Alejo and Maria Teresa Sanchez were doing their job when a foul odor coming from a canal near Tullahan River caught their attention.
When they checked the sacks, they were shocked to see the bodies.
The victims’ eyeballs have popped out, they said.
Police said the victims could have been strangled as they bore ligature marks on their necks.
The Castros were last seen having dinner in their home last Friday, according to their aunt.
