Ramil Bajo, Rey Galupo - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Manila Police District started yesterday its yearly pabasa at the MPD headquarters along United Nations Avenue.

Senior Superintendent Joel Coronel, who is in charge of the MPD’s directorial staff, Rep. Trisha Bonoan David and police officers gathered at the MPD lobby for the pabasa, which will run from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day until March 25.

The pabasa is a Filipino tradition in which Catholic devotees take turns chanting the stories of Jesus Christ’s suffering, death and resurrection.
