Infant girl abandoned at QC urinal

MANILA, Philippines - An infant girl was found abandoned at a public urinal in Libis, Quezon City yesterday morning.

Barangay Bagumbayan chairman Elmer Maturan said the infant, estimated to be a month old, was found wrapped in a blanket inside a paper bag before 4 a.m.

A man who heard the infant crying as he was passing by the corner of  C-5 and Calle Industria streets sought the assistance of police in locating her.

The infant did not suffer any physical injury but she was still brought the to the Quirino Memorial Medical Center for observation.

She will be turned over to the custody of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
