Top car exec plunges to death from condo
MANILA, Philippines - A vice president of a major car dealership apparently committed suicide by leaping from the 10th floor of a condominium in Salcedo Village, Makati City early yesterday.
Cesar Genato, 70, single, died after landing on the pavement from the 10th floor of the Le Triomphe Condominium at the corner of Gil Puyat Avenue and Dela Costa street at about 3:55 a.m., police said.
Genato went through the condominium’s canopy between the second and third floors of the building before hitting the ground, according to police.
Genato’s family told police that serious problems could have driven him to commit suicide. The victim left a note asking his family to cremate him immediately, investigators said.
