EPD calls on rob victims to file raps

MANILA, Philippines - The Eastern Police District (EPD) called on the persons who were robbed by two men – who surrendered Sunday after wounding a policeman and two of their neighbors in a shootout – to file charges against them.

EPD director Chief Superintendent Miguel Laurel said he strongly believes that Nassib Dimaagal, 33, and Adrian dela Cruz are involved in other crimes.

“We are calling on robbery victims to surface and identify the two suspects so additional charges would be filed against them. We will see to it that they will rot in jail,” Laurel said in an interview.

The Marikina City police filed yesterday murder charges against Dimaagal and Dela Cruz for allegedly killing house painter Arnel Borre, 38, at past midnight Sunday.

They engaged the police officers sent to arrest them for Borre’s slay in a shootout, wounding Police Officer 2 Jason Villanueva and their neighbors, Michael Anadia and 10-year-old Merwin Undaloc. The three were declared to be in stable condition at the Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center.
