MANILA, Philippines - Five men landed in jail yesterday for allegedly creating trouble in a bar in Mandaluyong City and destroying property worth P75,000.
Alejandro Anthony Galsim, 38; Winston Wayn, 31; James Soneja, 32; Ranger Marquez, 32, and Glen Martin Nieto, 37, face charges of tumultuous affray resulting in damage to property before the Mandaluyong City prosecutor’s office. They are being held at the Mandaluyong City police detention center.
Bremar Veneles, 29, a representative of the Kuwagos Grill and Restobar, and Ralph Tin, 26, a businessman, stood as complainants.
The suspects were drinking at the bar, located in Barangay Kuwagong Bato, when they figured in a fight with another group of customers at past midnight yesterday and they threw empty bottles, chairs and drinking glasses at each other, the complainants said.
The two groups of customers broke the bar’s windows and chairs as well as the windshield of a Chevrolet Optra owned by Matthew Carbonnel, police said.
Police officers arrested the five suspects while the other group managed to escape.
