Reinir Padua - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Some 150 families were left homeless after flames razed some 50 houses in South Triangle, Quezon City before dawn yesterday.

Senior Fire Officer 1 Rosendo Cabillan said no one was hurt during the incident, wherein some P3 million worth of properties were destroyed.

Cabillan said the flames started on the second floor of the house owned by Jimmy Laos, specifically through a cluster of wires passing through it.

People at a wake nearby said they saw sparks coming from the wires at past midnight yesterday.

Cabillan said the fire was reported to have started at around 12:32 a.m. and reached up to Task Force Bravo. Firefighters placed the fire under control at around 2 a.m. and put out the last flames at around 3 a.m.
