Valenzuela launches police mascot

MANILA, Philippines - The Valenzuela City police introduced yesterday its mascot, named SPO1 Valenzuela, to bring police officers closer to the community.

City police chief Senior Superintendent Rhoderick Armamento said SPO1 Valenzuela would be used in social projects in collaboration with barangay officials.

Mayor Sherwin Gatchalian, who praised Armamento for coming up with the idea of a police mascot, said SPO1 Valenzuela will be a symbol that the “police is ready to serve constituents in a professional manner.”
