Reinir Padua - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Two men believed to have been victims of summary execution were found stuffed separately in rice bags in Quezon City yesterday morning.

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director Senior Superintendent Richard Albano said they have yet to identify the victims.

The bodies were found 100 meters apart at about 5 a.m. along Sauyo Road in Barangay Sauyo, Novaliches, according to Police Officer 2 Dennis Llapitan.

Police described both victims in their late 20s.

Investigators said the victims could have been strangled as they bore ligature marks around their necks. Their heads, hands and feet were tied with packaging tape, police said.

One of the victims was found by a resident who was passing by the area.

The other victim was discovered by a tricycle driver, who immediately informed village authorities about his find.
