Perseus Echeminada - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - One of six suspects in last Monday’s robbery at Western Union branch in Sucat, Parañaque was arrested in Bacoor, Cavite shortly before midnight Thursday.

Melvin Lavastida is the registered owner of a Suzuki motorcycle reportedly used in the robbery, Parañaque police chief Senior Superintendent Billy Beltran told The STAR.

Lavastida denied participating in the robbery, but security guard identified the motorcycle’s license plate number while vendor Riza Diaz said the suspect was the same man who drove the motorcycle following the robbery.
