Man dies after jumping into underpass

MANILA, Philippines - A man died after he jumped into an underpass in Quezon City and was run over by a sport utility vehicle at past midnight yesterday.

Police Officer 2 Rhic Pittong said they have yet to identify the victim, who died on the spot at past 1 a.m. at the Mindanao Avenue Extension underpass that intersects with the Quirino Highway in Barangay Talipapa.

He described the man to be in his early 30s, 5’4” tall, of medium build, and clad in a green t-shirt and white underwear.

Witnesses said the driver of the Mitsubishi Montero simply drove off after running over the victim.
