MANILA, Philippines - A man suspected of robbing college students along Samson Road in Caloocan City was arrested Tuesday afternoon.
Gilbert Llanto was caught with a sachet of shabu and a loaded .38 caliber revolver in Heroes del ’96 at past 1 p.m. after a concerned citizen reported that he was seen roaming the village, carrying a gun, city police investigation head Chief Inspector Rodrigo Soriano told The STAR.
“Llanto is also our prime suspect in the series of robbery cases involving university students in the area,†Soriano said.
Charges of illegal possession of firearm and ammunition and illegal possession of shabu were filed yesterday against the suspect before the Caloocan City prosecutor’s office.
