Jerry Botial - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A businesswoman was wounded after two men allegedly tried to rob her as she was about to ride a taxi in Bagong Barrio, Caloocan City yesterday.

Galilee Tan Pasayhon, 33, remains confined at the MCU Hospital’s intensive care unit due to a gunshot wound in the neck, Police Officer 2 Rommel Bautista said.

Police officers arrested computer programmer Karl Holke, 24, and Mark Rosales, 24, in a follow-up operation.

Bautista said Pasayhon had just flagged down a taxi driven by Ramil Ronadilla, 49, when the two men allegedly approached her from behind and shot her using a handgun at around 1:30 a.m.

The two men fled as Ronadilla took Pasayhon to the nearest hospital.
