MANILA, Philippines - A policeman suspected of killing his partner in front of their two children in a motel was turned over to the Manila Police District (MPD) Thursday.
Police Officer 3 Ronald Fontejon, a member of the Police Security and Protection Group (PSPG), will be charged with murder before Manila prosecutor’s office, the MPD said.
Fontejon, assigned to the PSPG’s Diplomatic Protection Unit, was surrendered by fellow PSPG members on Wednesday night to the Philippine National Police headquarters in Camp Crame, according to PNP Custodial Center chief Superintendent Cesar Martino.
Surveillance camera footage showed Fontejon leaving the Beehive Traveler’s Inn just before the body of his partner, Kylie Ann Barroca, was discovered by a room attendant. The attendant also found the couple’s two children, age two and four, crying on the bed.
