UST students seek justice for slain alumna

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The University of Santo Tomas Central Student Council (UST-CSC) yesterday called for justice for one of its alumna, who was stabbed 49 times in Cavite.

In its Facebook page, the UST-CSC said Cyrish Magalang, who graduated cum laude with a degree in tourism earlier this year, was buying barbecue at a street corner near her house when she was reportedly kidnapped by drug-addicted tricycle drivers.

Her body was found in a grassy area in Barangay Gawaran last Wednesday. Her killers had hit her head and stabbed her 49 times.

The UST-CSC asked the Thomasian community to include her in their prayers.– Evelyn Macairan, Sandy Araneta
