QC cop drowns in pool

MANILA, Philippines - A policeman drowned in a six-foot deep pool inside the Saint Charbel Executive Village in Barangay Tandang Sora, Quezon City Friday afternoon.

Police Officer 2 Joseph Ilano, 36, a member of the Quezon City Police, was declared dead on arrival at the J.P. Sioson General Hospital.

PO2 Julius Balbuena said Ilano and several other QC operatives facilitated the physical fitness training of policemen from the Northern Police District.

The group went swimming after the training.
