MANILA, Philippines - Far Eastern University has suspended a graduating student for her alleged involvement in the stabbing of a University of Santo Tomas student in the FEU’s Manila campus on Oct. 2.
Nursing student Ma. Christine Acosta is “under preventive suspension,” FEU said in a statement.
The school issued a statement after six of its students were charged with frustrated murder before the Manila prosecutor’s office for stabbing Joanne Lourdes Reyes, who was at the FEU Manila campus to attend a film showing. The five other students remain unidentified, according to school director for admissions and external relations Albert Cabasada.
The attack was caught by the school’s surveillance camera.
