Pilot dies in fall from Alabang hotel

MANILA, Philippines - A commercial pilot died after falling from the balcony of his 29th-floor room at a hotel in Alabang, Muntinlupa City yesterday.

The body of Anton Miguel Osmeña, 30, was found at the hotel’s fourth floor. Police have yet to determine if Osmeña committed suicide.

Hotel records show Osmeña, a resident of Alabang Hills, checked in alone at around 4 a.m. and told the hotel’s desk he would not accept visitors.

Investigators did not find a suicide note in the victim’s room.

In October last year, Martin Guingona-Lamb, the 20-year-old nephew of Sen. Teofisto Guingona III died after falling from the 31st floor of the same hotel.
