MANILA, Philippines - Two people were stabbed dead and another person was hurt in a street fight in Barangay Payatas, Quezon City at past midnight yesterday.
According to a report of the Quezon City Police District’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit, Edwin Estacio, 43, saw his son Mark Julius, 22, in a fistfight with a man identified only as Kim.
The elder Estacio rushed to help his son, prompting Kim to flee. Moments later, a witness saw Mark Julius being chased and stabbed by another man, identified only as Danny.
When Mark Julius was able to escape, Danny turned on Estacio, stabbing him several times. A neighbor, Leonila Allauigan, 43, tried to intervene but Danny stabbed her in the left shoulder.
Allauigan and Estacio were declared dead on arrival at the Fairview General Hospital. Mark Julius is undergoing treatment for injuries he suffered.
Kim and Danny escaped following the incident.
