MANILA, Philippines - The Manila Police District is searching for a man who brought his alleged girlfriend to a hospital, where she died after lapsing into a coma.
The woman was identified by her sister as Rosalyn Golondrina, 28, a guest relations officer and a resident of Tondo.
Police said Golondrina was vomiting when a man said to be her boyfriend rushed her to the Mary Johnston Hospital on Sept. 13. Senior Police Officer 3 Benito Cabatbat said Golondrina and her boyfriend came from a motel in Tondo. She was reportedly abandoned by her boyfriend after she was admitted. Investigators are not discounting the possibility that the victim could have been poisoned or hit on the head with a hard object.
