DOLE shuts down bar

MANILA, Philippines - The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has ordered the permanent closure of a bar in Quezon City for employing minors as “entertainers.”

Labor Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz said she ordered the DOLE-National Capital Region office to immediately padlock the Metallica KTV bar on Quezon Avenue after National Bureau of Investigation agents rescued five girls who were forced to engage in lewd acts and have sex with customers.
