MANILA, Philippines - Two Chinese, allegedly connected with a drug syndicate operating in Metro Manila, were arrested during a drug bust in Mandaluyong City Saturday night.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency chief Jose Gutierrez Jr. said about 100 grams of shabu were confiscated from Andy Ong and Asy Lee, who offered the drug to a buyer for P400,000 at a coffee shop in Mandaluyong. PDEA spokesman Derrick Arnold Carreon said the two suspects had been under surveillance following the arrest of their alleged cohort, Richard Gomez, at Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on Aug. 29.
Gomez yielded illegal drugs worth more than P1 million when he was arrested.
