MANILA, Philippines – A fire struck a shopping mall in Divisoria, Manila shortly after midnight yesterday.
Arson investigators said the fire broke out on the ground floor of Tutuban Mall at 12:41 a.m.
The blaze reached Task Force Alpha.
Chief Inspector Bonifacio Carta of the Manila Fire Department said firefighters had to use portable lights to find their way inside the mall after electricity was cut off following the fire.
Traffic was snarled along Recto Avenue and Abad Santos street due to the fire.
